The intent for Spanish at St Mary's is to provide an appropriate balance of spoken and written language and to lay the foundation for further foreign language learning. Teaching should enable pupils to understand and communicate ideas, facts and feelings in speech and writing based on familiar routines. Through our language teaching we hope to deepen children’s understanding and foster their curiosity through engaging activities.
